Le polyuréthane projeté offre une **adhérence sans pareille** au surfaces homogènes, propres et sèches et, plus généralement, à tous les matériaux de construction. Il est intéressant de savoir que la mousse de polyuréthane a été découverte lors de la mise au point d'un type de colle.

L'adhérence d'autres matériaux au polyuréthane peut être augmentée selon les besoins avec des moyens mécaniques, en grattant la surface, ou chimiques, en utilisant un apprêt.

## **Mesurer l'adhérence du polyuréthane**

Il est possible de vérifier l'adhérence du polyuréthane grâce à une procédure simple : on réalise une application locale sur le substrat à tester, puis on ôte la mousse. Celle-ci doit casser avant de se décoller du substrat.

Selon la norme UNE-EN 14315-1, cette propriété doit être mesurée selon la procédure indiquée dans l'annexe F et les résultats classés selon les niveaux suivants.

## Comment améliorer l'adhérence du polyuréthane

Le **[polyuréthane projeté](https://blog.synthesia.com/fr/systemes-polyurethane-projete-ameliorer-isolation-thermique)** offre une excellente adhérence aux matériaux de construction couramment utilisés. Il y a cependant quelques règles à respecter pour améliorer cette propriété :

- Le **support** doit être très solide. S'il présente une surface rouillée, sale, sablonneuse ou terreuse qui menace de se détacher, le polyuréthane adhèrera uniquement à cette première couche et pourra se décoller facilement.
- Il est conseillé d’appliquer une couche de mortier riche sur une couche de **mortier pauvre ou sablonneux** ou toute autre surface non stable. En raison des tensions normales du polyuréthane, des soulèvements peuvent se produire entraînant avec eux, par manque de cohésion, la surface sur laquelle il a été appliqué.
- Un nettoyage dégraissant à l'alcool minéral suivi de l’application d’un apprêt anti-corrosion doit être réalisé sur les **surfaces métalliques lisses** telles que l'acier ou l'aluminium.
- La plaque de **surface d'une dalle de béton** coulée doit être nettoyée à l'aide d'une brosse appropriée.
- Le **film de polyéthylène**, matériau anti-adhésif par excellence, devra être brûlé au chalumeau pour obtenir une bonne adhérence de la mousse. Cependant, sur certains plastiques comme le polypropylène ou le téflon, il est impossible à la mousse d'adhérer.
- Il vaut mieux éviter l'application sur les **surfaces trop humides**, mouillées ou sujettes à la **[condensation de surface](https://blog.synthesia.com/fr/controle-humidite-polyurethane-comment-eviter-condensations)**. Des cloques pourraient se former et le polyuréthane pourrait se décoller. Moins la surface est poreuse, plus le problème sera important. En règle générale, le taux d'humidité du support doit être inférieur à 20%.
- Dans le cas des **membranes imperméabilisantes non auto-protégées en bitume**, il faudra préalablement coller le revêtement sur toute la surface et ôter la couche de polyéthylène anti-adhésive à la flamme.
- Avant d'envisager une pose sur **mousse de polyuréthane usagée** dégradée par le rayonnement UV, il faudra user de moyens de nettoyage mécaniques, comme une brosse métallique ou un nettoyeur haute-pression.
